Anime stuff at Hottopic!?!

So I was at the counter buying my awesome Sailor Moon tee and this lady was a big otaku and I told her that it was very hard to find all this stuff because here in the U.S we are very limited to anime stuff, it is very rare to find anime things in CA. So I left and the next month I saw that they released the SM Cosplay and was sold out after I told the news on my Youtube account. Later I saw that released more stuff such as Vocaloid stuff because of the power of the internet. Right now I will be adding more things on my wish list for my Birthday,which is around the corner, and Christmas. BTW I am assuming that in your local Hottopic store you should be getting more of a selection on anime merchandise and I will sure be saving when I go to the mall :D
Sorry for making a short post but I just thought of sharing this with you all! I will soon be posting a new anime review after doing my load of work to do so please look forward to seeing it soon!

Cosplay Tip #1 "Popular" or Difficult cosplay

                      When doing a difficult cosplay or a "Popular" cosplay and you want this to be done before an

 important event like a convention. First if you know how to sew and work on a project which can take you a month or less than no problem. For people who are just getting into cosplay and want to buy or make a cosplay but it will take you a lot of time, then I suggest you should plan ahead before the event. First if you want to make the cosplay out of scratch (I mean by using a pattern) good but I decide not to. For example if you are doing a Princess Tutu cosplay you could get most of your stuff at a local ballet shops or studios, add on the details, the wigs etc. I use a plain shirt or dress and add on straps, sequence, glitter basically details. I do that and I buy the accessories that I can't find and buy them on eBay like the Princess Tutu necklace and wigs or make the props like crowns, walking sticks, and weapons and of course styling the wigs. If you just got into cosplay and have a low budget this is good for you. If you have enough to buy all of it go ahead I will not stop you but I think making things is better because you save a lot and also the internet has grown and I bet you can find many tutorials on all sorts of cosplay stuff. I hope this helped you and I will make more cosplay tips in the near future.

My Review On: DN Angel

This weeks Review is On DN Angel and the main character of the series is Daisuke Niwa, an everyday average teen boy. On his 14th birthday he declares that he loves Risa Harada, but she rejects him. The next day Daisuke, heart-broken, undergoes mutation as becomming another person. His mother, Emiko, tells him that genetically all males in the Daisuke Family become Dark Mousy, a famous phantom thief. The transformation occurs when Daisuke has a romantic feeling for his crush whenever thinking of her to long. He also changes back the same way. He must keep his family's sercret about Dark, for which Risa has been falling for. Another character known as Satoshi Hiwatari suffers from his own version of the phantom-curse. Satoshi can transform into Krad. Both Daisuke and Satoshi become friends even thought Dark moans about it.

The Characters:


Daisuke Niwa is a 14 year old boy who can transform into a famous phantom-thief known as Dark Mousy. He is in love with Risa Harada in the begining of the series but (SPOILER ALERT!!!) later he loves her sister named Riku. Daisuke is skilled with 'phantom-thief skills' and later misses Dark when (SPOILER ALERT!!!) the series ends both are separated by magic.

Satoshi Hiwatari is a 13 year old boy who can transform into Krad Dark's enemy. He is the commander of caputuring Dark.

Overall Ranking:


The anime was amazing to watch considering my anime friend suggested it to me. I liked the art,music,action, and basically the whole thing. I would rank this series 5 stars because I think both girls and guys would want to see and the series is great to watch and if you like romance,action, and a little bit of comedy then I hope you watch this series because it won't disappoint you. I will post another review up soon! Sorry to make this review short but I really wanted to get this done along with others that must be posted.

My Review On: Kaze No Stigma

Sorry for not posting anything I appologize and...yeah, so this weeks review is on Kaze No Stigma. This anime is about Kazuma Kannagi, he was useless to his family because he was defeated by his distant relative, Ayano Kannagi. The reason he was defeated was that he failed at not being able to use the blaze technique,Enjutsu. The battle for Enraiha, blaze lightning supremacy, was when Kazuma was defeated by Ayano. He was to be banished from the family, After 4 years, Kazuma returns to be reunited with Ayano and his younger brother Ren,who is gifted in the blaze technique. Kazuma returns with a new name: Kazuma Yagami and he also returns with Kazuma becomming a master of the wind technique,Fujutsu. After he has returned, most of the Kannagi family is murdered by a weapon that has the use of the wind technique. Kazuma fights to prove he is not the murderer and follows adventures with Ayano.

Characters:

Kazuma Yagami is a former member of the Kannagi family. He has many capabilities with his use of the wind technique. SPOILER AHEAD: In the end Kazuma takes in interest in Ayano after being heart broken for many years.

Ayano Kannagi is 17 years old and is a master at the blaze technique. She will soon become the head of the Kannagi family. She is undisiplined and reckless in her fighting but Kazuma pins point it at her. She does develope a crush on Kazuma, she also gets the usual jealiousy but she also hates it when he flirts with her. Ayano's power is crimison flame, but she can't control it and she also can summon Enraiha at any time ,with only her voice, while in combat.

Ren Kannagi is Kazuma's younger brother. He looks up to Ayano and worships his brother. He feels that he must be stronger in order to protect his loved ones. His power is the Golden Flame, it is said to be the largest purification effect.

Overall Review:


I love the series but sadly I would rated in 4.5 stars because I expected more of a rommance story with Kazuma and Ayano but if you are a type of person who loves action then you should check this anime out. I will hopefully post two more blogs on two anime series before this month ends and till then watch my preview on those shows. Till then enjoy what the wind left for you!

My Review On: Lucky Star

This weeks review is on Lucky Star! This anime is about four girls attending a Japanesse high school. The main character in this anime is Konata Izumi. Lucky star has difficult problems, character developments and food, gawd they talk so much about food. The series began with four girls and later it grew because of the girls entering in the second and third year of high school and that is when new characters are being introduce.




Now the 4 main characters:


Konata Izumi is a representive of an Otaku, she is childish, crams on tests, and is sporty but is not joining any of the sports clubs because she thinks it cuts into her anime,manga and gameing time. Konata has a part time job at a cosplay cafe and works with underclassman Patricia Martin. Konata lives with her widowed father, who is also an otaku that buys adult games for him and Konata. Since her mothers death, Konata has been doing all the house work.




Kagami Hiiragi is Tsukasa's older fraternal twin sister. Kagami is excellent at school and was the class president of the year. She is in a different class,from Konata and her sister, since first-third year of high school. But she does spend lunch with them in their class. She plays video games but a different genre of Konata's video games and she reads light novels. Kagami feels lonely because no one shares the same interests as her.


Tsukasa Hiiragi is Kagami's fraternal twin sister. She is always compared to her twin sister. Tsukasa is not good at sports or studying, which she often asks for help from Kagami, but she is good at cooking. She is also friendly, loving, good natured but a clumsy person.
* The Hiiragi family consist of six members of family and they have their own shrine.*


Miyuki Takara is from a wealthy family which she is beautiful, smart, and well-mannered. She is also very polite. Miyuki is afraid of the dentist and often goes there. Miyuki wears glasses and decides not to wear contacts because she is afraid of putting things in her eyes. She is also is known as a "moe" character.


I give this anime 4/5 stars because I am not obssesed with it but I love the comedy and the characters of this series. This anime also has the characters talk about other anime that I have watched which the anime becomes popular after the episodes have been aired. I love this anime and the songs which one of the voice actress *cough cough* Aya Hirano sang and voice actered Konata. Lucky star is also known for its opening and dance called "Take It! Sailor Uniform". Which I will list for Free Download. I hate the long conversations especially about the topic of "food". Regardless this is my opinion and I hope you all enjoy my review on Lucky star please check this anime out.

My Review on: Maid Sama

This week's review is on Kaichō wa Maid-sama! First off this anime takes place in Seika High School, it use to be an all boys school and a terrifying place for girls, but now it is a co-ed school. The girl population is small but Misaki Ayuzawa is the first girl student council president of the school. She is known as a boy-hating dictator and as a shining hope for teachers and female students. Despite her tough appearance, she secretly works at a part time job at a maid cafe. Her secret is discovered by Usui Takumi and he starts to take an interest in her after he discovered her secret.

Now the characters of Maid Sama:

Misaki Ayuzawa is a 16 year old girl and is the first girl as the student council president at Seika High. She is known as working too hard and hates boys after her father left while her mother takes care of both Misaki and Suzena, Misaki's little sister. At school most of the guys hate or are terrified of her but the ones that are close to her see that she is fair and willing to help anyone who needs it. Misaki's negative feelings are males is mostly from her father amassing a huge debt and dissapearing. After her dad disapearing she works hard helping her mother with money problems by working as maid at the "Maid Latte". After Usui finds out that Misaki secretly works as a maid, Misaki has feelings for Usui and often blushes when he is around. Later in the series she turns 17 and she would always say that she hates him but it means she loves him. SPOILER ALERT AHEAD! Eventually Misaki realizes her feelings for Usui, who knows. She is never honest about her feelings towards Usui, instead lying and acting violently whenever awkward moments are brought up. In the end Misaki confessed for the second time they end up datting.

Usui Takumi is 17 years old and is one of the popular boys at Seika High. He appears to take interest in anything and prefers to observe things as they unfold. He proves to have talent in cooking, the violin, chess, and table etiquette. He's an illegitimate child; his rich English mother,whose maiden name is Usui ,had an affair with an unknown Japanese man. She died giving birth to Takumi. To keep this fact secret, his English grandfather sent him to his grandmother's family in Japan, thus having little contact with his older British half-brother and family. He was adopted by his mother's cousin. Most of the education he received was through tutoring, partially explaining his academic excellence. After becoming bored with isolation, Usui decided to attend a standard high school, which was chosen randomly from a book with his eyes closed. He moved to a high-rise condo though there is nothing really in his condo, to attend Seika High. During his first year at Seika, he quickly became popular among the girls, but not being interested in them, he rejects them whenever they confess to him. At the beginning of his second year, he develops an interest in Misaki and learns her secret. He regularly tells Misaki he likes her, but she dismisses his behavior simply as a joke or harassment.

The other characters in the series is a long list so here I will shorten it:

Hinata Shintani appears in the middle end of the series. He was Misaki's first love and childhood friend. He was overweight untill he moved with his grandparents and loss the weight. When he returns He searches for her.

Shouichirou Yukimura is the Vice President of Seika High. He is not athletic to any extent. He fears of Misaki but later comes to see she is fair and that she wants to help people in need along with Usui at her side. He is usually seen as wearing girl clothing in almost ever episode. He has a little sister named Ruri that he shows her that he is not very prince-like but is carring.

The idiot trio or the three idiots include: Naoya Shirakawa,Ikuto Sarashina and Ryuunosuke Kurosaki. They use to be bad boys untill they learned the secret of Misaki along with Usui. They promise to keep her secret and they are regularly costumers at Misaki's work.

Sakura Hanazono is Misaki's friend at school. She often needs protection from the wild behavior by guys. She is very girly.

Shizuko Kaga is Misaki' and Sakura's friend at school. She is smart in mostly math and is on board on the flower committe. She has siblings and according to sakura they look like her.

Soutarou Kanou he had a simalar childhood of Misaki's but his mother disapeared. He had fear or hatred towards girls and he never liked Misaki and he trys to hypnotize her but it failed. Misaki punishes him. His punishment makes him have no hatred or fear towards girls. He slowly friends Misaki and he friends the Vice President.

The "Maid Latte" employees in the series are: Satsuki, the manager, Honoka, Erika, Subaru, Sayu and Gon-Chan, Sen and Mochi and Aoi Hyoudou, dresses like a girl and is actually a guy.But he can sew and it bosses nephew. He is an internet idol as a girl. Nagisa Hyoudou is the aunt of Aoi.

The charaters of UXMishi Band include: Kuuga Sakurai,Shou,Kou and William Adam Yuuji.

Characters from Miyabigaoka High School include: Tora Igarashi, The student council President of Miyabigaoka High, Kanade Maki, the Vice president of Miyabigaoka High, Hirofumi Koganei , a student of Miyabigaoka High.

The list goes on but I will stop here.
I would rate this anime series 5 stars because I love the characters, the humor and the little action. Please watch this series if it interests you and I have to say I love Usui ;) srry for going all fangirl on you but please watch it.

My Review on: Fruits Basket

Fruits Basket is about a girl named Tohru Honda that lives in a tent after her mothers death in a car accident. On her way to school she finds a house near by her tent and sees that ,Yuki Sohma, a classmate, and his cousins Shigure and Kyo, live in that house. They all figure out that she lives in a tent and offer her to stay in there house and be there housekeeper. She agrees and later she knows the Sohma's live with a curse. Thirteen members of the family are possessed by spirits of the Chinese Zodiac. They can be turned into their zodiac animal when they are being hugged by the opposite gender, are weak, or under stress. When Tohru disscovers their secret they decide not to erase her memory as long as she dosen't tell their secret. Tohru realizes that the Sohma's curse is deeper and darker. She becomes a positive influence on those possessed by the curse. Tohru sets out to break the curse , and on the way, meets and finds out each of the Sohma's vengful spirits. With Tohru's exsistence changes the Sohma's forever. The characters in the series start with:




Tohru Honda a kind hearted, orphaned, high school student who use to live in a tent in the woods. She loves to cook and describes herself as an excellent housekeeper. She also has an after school job as a janitor to pay for her tuition fees to avoid being a burden on her grandfather.


Kyo Sohma is cursed by the cat, an animal not in the Chinese Zodiac but some legands say that the cat would have been included if the rat didn't trick, but really did, the cat to not go to this party. He has orange hair, he has anger issues and is charismatic, if initally awkward around people.



Yuki Sohma is the rat of the Chinese Zodiac. Yuki is attractive, reserved, and accomplish man with many admires. He has low self-esteem. He is also known as "Prince Yuki" and "Prince Charming" at school where he has a fan club run by Motoko Minagawa that tries to "Protect" him which makes him feel isolated. He is presured with his popularity to become president of the student council despite his missgivings.



Overall I think fruits Basket is rated 3 and a half stars but it is my opinion on this. BTW SPOILER ALERT: In the end of Fruits Bascket I cried because Momiji Sohma had a sad childhood and I think you would like this series if you enjoy the plot to it. Events Alert

It is official that I am attending Kintoki-Con 2011,which is a new convention in Sacramento.I know that there will be a hall cosplay,I will find some space and turn my Ipod and dance with some cosplayers for fun and of course taking photos with some fans.I can't wait to meet you all.Second I will be updating my costume progress,If you want to know who I'm cosplaying It is Princess Serenity and possibly Yuki as a Vampire.The cosplay should be done prior to the date of Kintoki-Con.Third I made a cosplay.com Profile and I really want people to notice it because this is where I will be posting all my photos for the progress on my cosplay and photoshoots along with this blog.I will leave a link to my profile.Oh another thing is that I will be meeting Mari Watanabe and taking photos and talking to her about her success.I hope you all come and meet me at the con and please if you update any photos of me online please ask me and I would love for you all to link them to me on any website I am on or on here.

My Review On: RomeoXJuliet

This week's review is on RomeoXJuliet obviously based off the orignal version of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.This story's setting is in Neo Verona where the noble house of Capulet had ruled peacefully for generations.Fourteen years ago a grudged was held by the rival house of Montague led to all Capulets wiped out in a bloody coup.Now in Neo Verona suffers under a bad government.As people suffer the Capulet's who survived are hiden and try to strike a blow against their enemies.As for the enemies they get a better grasp on their power of ruling.Both Romeo and Juliet fall in love again in an anime series.

Juliet Fiamatta Ars de Capulet is the last member of the capulet family.She masquerads as a boy named Odin in order to avoid being caught by the house of Montague.Which the Montague's still look for the survived Capulet's.She is an excellent swordswoman and also masquerades as a vilgilant named the Red Whirlwind in order to aid people from the Montague's.She of course fall's in love with Romeo which leads to complications for her in the series.

Romeo Candore de Montague is the son of Lord Leontes Montague and Lady Portia and is heir to the throne of Neo Verona.He is forced for engagement to a noble woman named Hermione.As a noble man he rides his flying horse named Cielo.Romeo is considered as a kindhearted,obidient and disapproving of his family's tyranny.He of course fall in love with Juliet at first sight.

Leontes Montague is not really evil but mean and is Machiavellian Duke of Neo Verona.He,an illegitimate Capulet offspring and son of a prostitute,was born and raised into poverty.The death of his mother made him have a grudge against the Capulet name and his ambitions for being duke.He cares more about the Great Tree Escalus.SPOILER ALERT! He later gets killed later in the series by mad Mercutio,moments before surrendering to Juliet.

Tybalt is a mysterious warrior later revealed to be the illegitimate son of Leontes Montague.He wants vengence for his mother,a Capulet woman named Volumnia Capulet,used by lord Montague.

On aside note the Great Tree Escalus is a huge enchanted trees that gives support to Neo Verona.According to its caretaker,a woman named Ophelia,it gives blessings to people,but it also weakens if the person does not have love in their hearts.When it is thriving it drops shining fruit from its branches.Since Montague takes care of it the tree whithers.

My opinion in this anime series I just love the beautiful art and how they bring alive Romeo and Juliet.This anime series is just beautiful.I hope all you enjoy wacthing this or your just a fan of William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.Next review will be next week possibly on a Wendsday.So keep you all up to dated on all things Anime related.Peace!

*Read With Caution! This Contains Spoilers!*

School days is the worst anime I have ever watch but before I go on with the review I will tell you about what this anime is about and the characters.

Okay school days is about a guy name Makoto Ito who has a secret crush on this girl named Kotonoha Katsura that likes him.Makoto's Friend,Sekai Saionji, set's him up with her.School days is set in high school and this anime has only 12 episodes.After setting him up with her the relationship becomes to fast and Makoto wants to do her O.o which he asks Sekai to be his partner to practice.This part I dissaprove of,Girls if a guy asks this say no just please say no it is wrong to say yes okay.After that goes on you should know Sekai likes him and whole love triangle creates and Makoto does Katsura.Makoto breaks up with Katsura,she gose into deniel and becomes a trainwreck,he ends up being in love with Sekai.Later he loses his pimp status because Sekai finds out that she is pregneat with his baby.While Katsura is in denile Makoto goes back with Katsura.Makoto gives a text to Sekai giving her directions to a clinic.Sekai finds out that its a place for an abortion.She later gets mad but goes to Makoto's apartment to prepare a dinner that Sekai makes for him.Later Makoto gets a text saying "Goodbye Makoto" and he is stabed by Sekai and she fleds the scene.Katsura brings a bag with his body inside and tell Sekai to meet her.She does go and gets into a fight with her.Then Katsura stabs Sekai and Katsura fleds the scene.Later the season changes to Summer and the scene show Katsura on a Yacht with Makoto's head O.0 and says "We are finally together".

Makoto Ito is an unlucky protaginist,manered and is a composed student.He later falls for intimite relationships with girls and never commits to the releationships.He is originally casual,gregarious and understanding.After what he was it corrupts his personality and he is instead apathetic,and rash.However,once he realizes what he has done wrong,he is quick in to attempt to fix the situation.Makoto lives with his devorced mother and his little sister lives with their father..
Kotonoha Katsura was sudent of the year and is on the student council.She is a bookworm and she falls in love with Makoto.Later she becomes his girlfriend after confessing her affections to him.She is the abused and bullyed character of the story and is gentle and calm.Her parents are wealthy and she has a little sister.
Sekai Saionji was student of the year,outgoing and playful person.She is in love with Makoto.Sekai lives with her mother and her half sister.She works part time jobs as a waitress and works at her family's resteraunt.

My personal opinion on this anime is that this was one of the worst anime I have ever watched.I hate it because the setting for high school should be switched to college then I could understand.The only thing I liked was the last episode.If you watch this just don't it is boring I personally thought it was going to be great but it was the worst and I will never watch it again. I personally don't like Harem Series and really didn't care for the plot. If you are into a new harem series then you should look into this one.

My Review on: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

Today's review is on "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" Which I will clarify what it is about.This anime series is also famous for it's song and dance called the "Hare Hare Yukai".Before I get into Detail let me tell you all what this anime series is about.This series is about a typical high school guy,named Kyon, that takes the perspective of this series.Followed by a girl which is Haruhi and she does not know that she has a godlike power.Which her power is to change reality and with her strange antics in her own school club called the "S.O.S Brigade" Which this club is all about mysterious happenings.All the members of the club are all aliens,espers and time travelers without her knowing.


Haruhi Suzumiya is the main character of this story and is the leader of the "S.O.S Brigade". She hates boredom and is eccentric and energetic of all the characters.Her backstory was that she was a popular and special student untill 6th grade she felt no longer special after going to a baseball game.Haruhi Realized that she was "One in a sea of people".After that she made her life more interesting and unique.Since she made the club and hates boredom she would make the club members do little activities.What Haruhi doesn't know that she has the power to change the environment around her as she please and using it she gathers her members for the "S.O.S Brigade".How her club came to was when she became really bored of all the clubs in school and Kyon thought "Why don't you make your own club and do whatever you want." She later comes up with the "S.O.S Brigade".She uses Kyon as her pet.She also has a funny way of showing how she loves Kyon.


Kyon is the perspective of the story and is a normal guy because every anime series needs an actual character.He is a student and runs into Haruhi.He hates Haruhi's demands,but he thinks "a world without Haruhi would be interesting".Kyon is also "John Smith" from Haruhi's earlier memories and was the one who painted the heiroglyph in the field.


Yuki Nagato is an alien and investigaates Haruhi because Yuki is trying to find the unexplaind "explosion of data" three years prior to the present story.She posseses the ability to minipulate her environment soroundings or "data" as she calls it.Yuki is very quiet and loves reading.Yuki gives hints and aids Kyon throughout the series.She never shows emotions,but she does show her intrests in somethings.Such as programing computer games and playing them.It is revealed in The disapearence of Haruhi Suzumiya film that she develops emotions.Which if Yuki develops emotions it causes her to have an "Error data" it will cause a bug to trigger anomalous behavior.The unpleasent emotions develope throughout the series (caused by the people around her) makes her wish for a normal world.She finally takes action in the film.Yuki also gives permission for Haruhi to use a classroom for her club as long as she reads,which hints of her investigation.It also makes her become a member of the "S.O.S Brigade".


Mikuru Asahina is a time traveler from the distant future and is also assigned to investigate the reasons behind the inability to travel to any point in time before three years prior to the present story.Mikuru is a soft spoken girl whose almost willingly to follow Haruhi's demands.She is the lowest in her Time Travelers Committee.She often tries to explain what is going on but will say this popular line "That's classified".Haruhi loves dressing her up like a doll claiming that she is the "Mascot" of the "S.O.S Brigade".Kyon also admits he has a crush on her and Haruhi is jealous of her and Kyon's relationship.

Itsuki Koizumi is an esper.When I first heard the word "esper" I was like what does it mean,but I went to trusty google and found the results.An esper is a person who can see the future.Itsuki is like the other members of "The Agency" suddenly acquired the power of "Closed space" and combat celestials three years prior to the present story.He is fairly carfree and can be found always smiling.Kyon is very annoyed by him.Itsuki brings up many points that have multiple sides and even explains to Kyon that Mikuru or anyone could possibly be putting up fake personality and devceiving everyone.At times when he explains about things I can see his lips moving but no words come out.When he talks I always have a blank face (Like when I'm in math class) so beware when he talks cause I could tell you that he will make you draw a blank.When Itsuki first went into the club Haruhi found him because she was looking for a "mysteryious new guy".
Overall I love "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" it is the best anime but one thing I hate is that it gets confusing so please read this blog before watching it.Watch the 0/0 episode
last because it got confusing to watch at the begining so I sugest you should watch it last.So go watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I assure you it is the best.
