This week's review is on Kaichō wa Maid-sama! First off this anime takes place in Seika High School, it use to be an all boys school and a terrifying place for girls, but now it is a co-ed school. The girl population is small but Misaki Ayuzawa is the first girl student council president of the school. She is known as a boy-hating dictator and as a shining hope for teachers and female students. Despite her tough appearance, she secretly works at a part time job at a maid cafe. Her secret is discovered by Usui Takumi and he starts to take an interest in her after he discovered her secret.
Now the characters of Maid Sama:
Misaki Ayuzawa is a 16 year old girl and is the first girl as the student council president at Seika High. She is known as working too hard and hates boys after her father left while her mother takes care of both Misaki and Suzena, Misaki's little sister. At school most of the guys hate or are terrified of her but the ones that are close to her see that she is fair and willing to help anyone who needs it. Misaki's negative feelings are males is mostly from her father amassing a huge debt and dissapearing. After her dad disapearing she works hard helping her mother with money problems by working as maid at the "Maid Latte". After Usui finds out that Misaki secretly works as a maid, Misaki has feelings for Usui and often blushes when he is around. Later in the series she turns 17 and she would always say that she hates him but it means she loves him. SPOILER ALERT AHEAD! Eventually Misaki realizes her feelings for Usui, who knows. She is never honest about her feelings towards Usui, instead lying and acting violently whenever awkward moments are brought up. In the end Misaki confessed for the second time they end up datting.
Usui Takumi is 17 years old and is one of the popular boys at Seika High. He appears to take interest in anything and prefers to observe things as they unfold. He proves to have talent in cooking, the violin, chess, and table etiquette. He's an illegitimate child; his rich English mother,whose maiden name is Usui ,had an affair with an unknown Japanese man. She died giving birth to Takumi. To keep this fact secret, his English grandfather sent him to his grandmother's family in Japan, thus having little contact with his older British half-brother and family. He was adopted by his mother's cousin. Most of the education he received was through tutoring, partially explaining his academic excellence. After becoming bored with isolation, Usui decided to attend a standard high school, which was chosen randomly from a book with his eyes closed. He moved to a high-rise condo though there is nothing really in his condo, to attend Seika High. During his first year at Seika, he quickly became popular among the girls, but not being interested in them, he rejects them whenever they confess to him. At the beginning of his second year, he develops an interest in Misaki and learns her secret. He regularly tells Misaki he likes her, but she dismisses his behavior simply as a joke or harassment.
The other characters in the series is a long list so here I will shorten it:
Hinata Shintani appears in the middle end of the series. He was Misaki's first love and childhood friend. He was overweight untill he moved with his grandparents and loss the weight. When he returns He searches for her.
Shouichirou Yukimura is the Vice President of Seika High. He is not athletic to any extent. He fears of Misaki but later comes to see she is fair and that she wants to help people in need along with Usui at her side. He is usually seen as wearing girl clothing in almost ever episode. He has a little sister named Ruri that he shows her that he is not very prince-like but is carring.
The idiot trio or the three idiots include: Naoya Shirakawa,Ikuto Sarashina and Ryuunosuke Kurosaki. They use to be bad boys untill they learned the secret of Misaki along with Usui. They promise to keep her secret and they are regularly costumers at Misaki's work.
Sakura Hanazono is Misaki's friend at school. She often needs protection from the wild behavior by guys. She is very girly.
Shizuko Kaga is Misaki' and Sakura's friend at school. She is smart in mostly math and is on board on the flower committe. She has siblings and according to sakura they look like her.
Soutarou Kanou he had a simalar childhood of Misaki's but his mother disapeared. He had fear or hatred towards girls and he never liked Misaki and he trys to hypnotize her but it failed. Misaki punishes him. His punishment makes him have no hatred or fear towards girls. He slowly friends Misaki and he friends the Vice President.
The "Maid Latte" employees in the series are: Satsuki, the manager, Honoka, Erika, Subaru, Sayu and Gon-Chan, Sen and Mochi and Aoi Hyoudou, dresses like a girl and is actually a guy.But he can sew and it bosses nephew. He is an internet idol as a girl. Nagisa Hyoudou is the aunt of Aoi.
The charaters of UXMishi Band include: Kuuga Sakurai,Shou,Kou and William Adam Yuuji.
Characters from Miyabigaoka High School include: Tora Igarashi, The student council President of Miyabigaoka High, Kanade Maki, the Vice president of Miyabigaoka High, Hirofumi Koganei , a student of Miyabigaoka High.
The list goes on but I will stop here.
I would rate this anime series 5 stars because I love the characters, the humor and the little action. Please watch this series if it interests you and I have to say I love Usui ;) srry for going all fangirl on you but please watch it.

This weeks review is on Lucky Star! This anime is about four girls attending a Japanesse high school. The main character in this anime is Konata Izumi. Lucky star has difficult problems, character developments and food, gawd they talk so much about food. The series began with four girls and later it grew because of the girls entering in the second and third year of high school and that is when new characters are being introduce.
